Summer is knocking on the door, and the chance to get into that bikini isn’t far away. It’s not too late now to get yourself into shape for summer if you, like the rest of us, have let things slip a bit during the long winter months. There are many tips online for getting into shape and we have done the hard work by going through them all, narrowing down the list and producing the following seven. All are easy to implement into your lifestyle, and for those who did the same last year it can be like getting back on a bike; literally in some cases!

Detox

Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand and you shouldn’t do one without the other. Teatox, where you drink a detox tea is a hugely popular way of ridding your body of all those toxins it has collected during the winter. Teatoxes such as Somatox are also a pleasant drink and doesn’t involve the taking of any pills you can see why so many swear by it as a weight loss tea.

Losing Weight

The biggie and for many the toughest. Forget the crash diets, as soon as you eat normal food again the weight goes straight back on. A healthy, balanced diets including all the required food groups and supplemented with weight loss tea is the best way to go.

Walking

Walking the dog, taking the stairs instead of the lift, walking to school, this will all help you feel and look fitter. Raising the heart rate is your rule of thumb for knowing you are exercising to a level that is beneficial, and a brisk walk will do exactly that.

Exercise

Cycling, running, swimming, taking part in a sport, whatever you like doing the most will go towards your get set for summer campaign. You may have lost interest during the winter and preferred to be snuggled up in the warmth but now there’s no excuse for getting going again.

Book a holiday

Seriously, there is nothing like knowing you are going on holiday for getting you in the mindset for implementing all the other tips. You want to look your best by the pool and on the beach so a little psychology goes a long way.

Give Yourself a make-over

A change of hairstyle or hair colour, a wardrobe revamp, these can all knock years off you and make you look 100 times better that you did previously. If old holiday snaps have made you cringe then change what you hate the most about them. It’s amazing what a new hairdo and do for your confidence and those who carry an air of confidence walk taller and instantly look slimmer and fitter.

Pedicure

This doesn’t feature on many lists of getting in shape for summer but have a good look at your poor feet after being encased in thick socks and boots for months. They are exactly in sandal or flip flop condition are they? Treat yourself to a pedicure as the finishing touch for the hard work you’ve put into looking good and feeling great for the summer.
