Danielle Barbe created The Vagabond Queen blog about a year and a half ago, when she was looking for a way to share all of her artistic adventures. Primarily, she’s a singer/songwriter, and music is her love, first and foremost, she found that rock ‘n roll, style, art and many various methods of creation, all help to keep her inspired in different ways.
Danielle’s online jewellery store came together partly because of her undying love of vintage and antiques, but it also stemmed from her exasperation over carbon copy artist merchandising.

Danielle has been lucky enough to travel across the country several times while touring, all the while picking up many gorgeous vintage pieces. She calls herself a collector. Everyone else calls her a hoarder. She wears these items onstage and in photoshoots, repurpose vintage materials into various accessories and jewellery items, and often gets asked by fans and friends, “where can I buy that?”.

It wasn’t until Danielle was performing on Warped Tour, when she needed new merchandise and was so disheartened by the lack of unique items available to bands/artists, that she opted to make her own. Drawing on what her fans and friends had always expressed an interest in, her clothing and jewellery, she began to handcraft much of the merchandise herself from gemstones and vintage materials. This gave her something to do during those nine hour drives from city to city while touring! The jewellery sold out in no time.

Danielle offers items that are beautifully handmade out of many raw minerals and vintage materials that she finds while on her Vagabond travels across the country. These are all pieces that she would wear. Every single item is special because of the time, energy and memories attached to it.
