Child’s Own Studio: A special gift

Child’s Own Studio was founded by the cleverly, talented Wendy Tsao, she’s the proud designer, craftsperson, photographer, marketing department, media contact and customer service – a lady of every skill going under the sun.

You may have come across Child’s Own Studio flying around social media channels, we discovered this creation on good old Facebook. At first, we thought Child’s Own Studio was some innovative toy company. But, really, it’s just Wendy Tsao, artist. It began in 2007, when she made her first softie based on her 4-year-old son’s self-portrait. 

Since then, Wendy has handcrafted around 600 softies based on children’s drawings from all around the world. Most of them are featured in the gallery. The artist likes each and every one of them because each and every one of them was a special project for her. 

Wendy makes about 120 softies a year, there’s a lot of children’s dreams coming true – some people have encouraged her to figure out how to increase production, but she prefers to focus on what she’s good at and enjoy – making high quality one-of-a-kind artful softies.
