The entire world seems to be in love with the mythological and supernatural, so it only makes sense to see jewellery inspired by these loves, right?

Clare Whitt, an engineer and coded welder with over ten years experience in industrial workshops and factories has unveiled her latest A/W’14 jewellery/ accessories collection, inspired by the warrior Goddess Durga, the embodiment of feminine and creative energy.

The collection itself is a creative manipulation of vision and materials, challenging the accepted functional norms of everyday objects, which allows us to open our minds to many possibilities. Having created a range of metal bustiers, belts, head and neckpieces, Clare Whitt’s designs are truly one of a kind statement pieces.

Of her work and unique creativity, Clare claims, “my initial occupation as a welder is quite an odd choice for a girl but it is one that has suited my unvonventional nature and views on what is socially expected; steps that one should follow on their life path to be accepted. I like to push those boundaries and to make people feel empowered by my creations.”
