Designer Spotlight: Fossilized Fashion

Up in our Designer Spotlight column this week is a brand new design label, entitled Fossilized Fashion, who recently launched their latest line of trendy dinosaur inspired tees to suit any dino fiend out there. Based out of Portland Oregon, their website focuses on fun dinosaur-themed T-shirts that appeal to just about anyone who has an interest in the Jurassic era.Fossilized Fashion was started by two inspiring friends, Carlo Barajas and Megan Dials – who wanted a unique way to combine their love of dinosaurs and pop culture references. While the initial design selection is relatively small, they have big plans to regularly add many more dinosaur T-shirt options to the growing collection. Carlo Barajas, co-founder of Fossilized Fashion told us: “Megan and I were always sitting around making jokes about stuff going on in the world, and we thought it would be funny to somehow get the things we came up with on a T-shirt. We both think dinosaurs are awesome, so we started to come up with ideas on how to tie them into our shirts. We got lots of positive feedback from friends and regulars on our dinosaur apparel ideas, so we decided to go for it.

We’re really excited to take our humble online shop and turn Fossilized Fashion into a well-known niche brand.” The design duo are not afraid to take on the world of fashion since Carlo has a background in digital marketing. Megan has been working with various forms of art for years, though usually leaning towards more traditional mediums (the first designs were created with marker and watercolour, then later vectorised by her). Fossilized Fashion is making its way across the internet quicker than lightening; watch out for more big projects to take place this year.
