Gigi Hadid and Victoria’s Secret: A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

California native Gigi Hadid has made waves in recent weeks, with her audition for the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. After shaking off public scrutiny, during recent Fashion Week for being “fat” and having a “poor walk”, Hadid has proved that she is nothing but confident, fearless and fierce. The multicultural, blonde beauty has shown girls around the world that dreams really do come true.

Gigi has been a mvp rookie, gracing the biggest runways and magazines in the fashion industry. The IMG model has booked high profile jobs with Balmain, Guess, Elie Saab, Versace, Moschino, DVF, W, Elle, various Vogue editions including mostly recently Vogue Nederland. This is just a wee list from Hadid’s extensive resume, and most recently a new gig moved the 20 year old into tears. When asked her dream job in modelling, Gigi has never hesitated to put Victoria’s Secret, at the top of her list. Some of the world’s famous top models including Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Giselle Bundchen have made historical markings on this royal catwalk. Late this summer there was buzz about the blonde beauty joining the roster for the 2015 VS Fashion Show, and now we finally have confirmation.

Gigi wowed the casting director of the show, after a fiery walk he asked “What are you doing on November 9th and 10th?” She replied, “I don’t know.” to her tearful surprise he said, “Why don’t you come join us…” After recently being open about the struggles of modeling, Hadid shows the world she is a humble, hard working young woman, and not just a model. Overcoming obstacles and remaining dedicated is one of the best things you can do as a professional, or just in everyday life.

The VS Fashion Show will air Tuesday December 8th, and Gigi will put her foot into a piece of a truly iconic event. Music heavyweights Rihanna, The Weeknd and Selena Gomez will set the tone for this glamorous evening. Gigi couldn’t have been blessed with a better way to conclude her sophomore year on the catwalk. Lights, glitter and lace will shine the runway as a young Hadid finally gets to live out her big girl dreams.
