D’Ora Tokai: The Mundu bag Stephanie AndersonFebruary 11, 20142 viewsdesignFashionStyle0 Comments2 views As part of the D’Ora Tokai quest to steer luxury back to its original roots and bring Monaco style to the world, this brand offers bespoke handcrafted bags, made in Italy. Creating pieces that owners would cherish for years to come then want to pass down through their later generations. The round Mundu bag is inspired by Monte-Carlo’s motoring heritage, resembling the steering wheels of classic racecars. The word Mundu means ‘World’ in Monegasque, the ancient language of Monaco, and is associated with power and freedom. The Mundu bag is made-to-order using the highest grade crocodile leather combined with pearl, precious metal and semi-precious stone studs. The design is available in 39 colours and their combinations, with or without leather strap. Each Mundu bag carries its own custom serial number, the owner’s name and/or a personal message engraved onto a round gold plate, which is placed on the inside. Mundu incorporates several compartments creating space for an iPhone and iPad. Designer, Dora Tokai explains further “I strive to meet personal request’s and create pieces that will endure as family heirlooms.” Avery Parker Mundu bag is available online here.
