Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair are bringing out the bunting at their June fair for the Queen’s official 90^th birthday. While the military will be trooping the colour on 11^th June, the following day Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair will be celebrating with tea, cake and royal fashion. With over 50 stalls of vintage fashion and textiles on offer, there’s something for everyone, including pieces given the royal seal of approval such as Horrockses – whose cotton dresses were worn by the Queen on her commonwealth tour in 1953 – and Norman Hartnell, the British couturier who made the Queen’s wedding and coronation dresses.

Their tearoom will be jubilant with live music, singing some classic song’s from the Queen’s lifetime, and a spot of celebration cake, honouring the monarch who has not only been a strong ruler but a continued fashion icon. There will be plenty of outfits and swimwear for your summer holiday too. 50s novelty prints, 70s floral maxi dresses, sun hats and designer sunglasses too. To mark the special occasion, they’re also offering 2 for 1 entry on all tickets bought in advance from billetto  or bring a copy of the June/July issue of  Vintage Explorer.  If you join their Facebook event and share it you’re automatically in for a chance to win £50 to spend on vintage goodies. 

Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair’s Royal Celebration Fair takes place on Sunday 12th June 2016 from 11am until 5pm at The Old Finsbury Town Hall, Rosebery Avenue, London, EC1R 4RP. Entry is £4 for public and £2 for students.
