This summer, be on the lookout for a ship of weirdoes. Maid in Love’s S/S’14 collection is inspired by a bunch of weirdoes in a small ship, on a long day; the abnormal is so common that it becomes the new normal. In this ship, hedonism is a way of life: you can sleep all day, stare in a direction for a long time or even go around naked and no one bothers you. So join this journey lead by unique digital prints on light weighted fabrics of pastel colours, cut to comfortable fits that make you feel like you’re in pyjamas all day. This journey is to experience the magical depth of individualism, free will to explore your own abnormalities. Start changing your life by changing your clothes and the rest will come.

A young, fun and fresh brand, it is designed by a London College of Fashion graduate Hende Cokrark who has worked in the ready-to-wear industry for a few years, holding posts in design teams of Turkish brands before opening Maid in Love in 2010. Seeing the beauty in the odd and realising originality of one’s style is at the heart of the brand’s creations. Targeting women with self-confidence, Maid in Love aims to portray your individuality through your own sense of style.

The simplicity of each design brings about the playfulness as well as the youthfulness of their character; from maxi skirts to shift dresses with digital prints will give you individuality of each character of the design where abnormality is at its best. As well as prints, there are items where it will only consist of colours marking out, again, the simple design that will lightly dress you up ready for the summer.

For those that love prints, you will see that there will be motifs of eyeballs, rabbits, somewhat hypnotised robots along with the classic floral prints and some of these are topped with collars and you can expect to see clean cut lines suggesting the edgy, smart and casual side of this collection.
