Miu Miu S/S’14 brings kitsch to the runways Stephanie AndersonJanuary 3, 201426 viewsdesignFashionStyle0 Comments26 views Debuting on the stage of Paris Fashion Week in its usual stand out style Miu Mui, released their S/S’14 collection. The range has been created in its usual playful style and has an element of oddity as it consists of many almost fall items. Miu Miu is known for creating strength in women’s clothing, giving the fashion consciousness woman an outlet in which to express her personality and it is obvious to see that the summer collection stays true their goal. Keeping true to their provocative identity the designers used PVC and plastic leathers in pastel colours creating an air sensual playfulness to range. The range, reminiscent of the chic 70’s kitsch culture, includes jackets with floral prints of the famous Miu Miu winking cat. Dresses with sequinned and crystal beaded tops made their way to the runway coupled with patent boots and heels out making kitsch cool and sexy all at once. Jackets and boots in summer you may ask, however this seems to be the designers aim. Creating a sense of individuality and questioning the norms we sometime so strictly adhere to.
