Ryan Roche studied Fashion Design at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco before moving to New York City in 2000, where she met and married her husband. In 2003 she was inspired by the birth of her first child and conceived the coveted children’s concept store mor mor rita in Brooklyn. The inevitable development of an inimitable children’s collection quickly followed. Ryan’s designs have earned the devotion of many fashionable fans including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk and have attracted feature attention in Milk, Cookie, Papier Mache and The New York Times Style Section and Vogue. The Fall 2014 collection is a beautiful representation of luxe pastel pieces. Renowned for her commitment to sustainable detail with which she sources fabrics, dyes and yarns, which features exquisite cashmere knits made by a women’s co-operative in Nepal. Ryan Roche works within a distinctive palette of subtle becoming colours. Her designs make modern lines extraordinary with a deft and poetic touch.
