Christian Cowan-Sanluis A/W’14: Girls Like Us Stephanie AndersonJuly 13, 20141 viewsdesignFashionStyle0 Comments1 views As part of his fun and youthful A/W’14 collection, Christian Cowan-Sanluis teamed up with photographer, Ellis Scott and stylist, My Name is Kabir to bring the concept to life. The directors created an energetic and lighthearted girl power film, channelling raw 80s/90s popstar sass. Taking inspiration from the Steven Miesel scene in “Portfolio”, the idea of Jem and the Holograms and combining them with a third reference of turbulent energy from archive Avedon campaign shoots for Versace. The outcome resulted in the ulimate fierce female film transending Christian’s “Girls Like Us” collection into a humourous and playful narrative through the art of motion. Bailey Moss
