Ransom S/S’14: The Never Ending Path Stephanie AndersonJune 5, 20140 viewsdesignFashionmenswearStyle0 Comments0 views Ransom’s spring/summer collection this year is inspired by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The brand’s spring expedition was carried out by Jeremy Koreski, who is an environmental and surf photographer, as he set out on a three week trip to explore and discover the daily life within Puerto Rico. The majority of Old San Juan was toured throughout and it was not until after travelling several towns along the island’s northern coast, the tropical waters, landscapes and historic architecture that the decision for the scenery to be the backdrop would be perfect for Ransom’s spring 2014 footwear collection. Looking through the photos, it seems that Puerto Rico is full of pastel-coloured cemented square buildings closely compacted next to each other that almost use up all the gaps in residential areas. The archipelago is also captured by having rich vivid and bright colours brought by the beach towels and basketball court that juxtapose with the calm colours of the buildings as well as stoned pavements and statues. With all this in view, it is no wonder that the footwear collection for this summer would brilliantly compliment the sceneries; the red, blue and white hues of the shoes perfectly match not only artificial colours but also that of mother nature such as the emerald blue curl of the sea and the smooth range of blue to orange tones of the sunset. Founded as a destination retailer, Ransom is well-known for its unique point of view that interlocked their outlook and lifestyle to the international brands and goods carried. Ransom grew into designing and manufacturing a modern collection of clothing and accessories that are available and can be purchased at its own stores and selected global retailers. 2009 was the year Ransom expanded their design and creation to enter into the world of footwear. This year’s footwear collection brings about the fun, bright and active element of summer that everyone longs for thus making it a must for the Spring and Summer haul of 2014 and for your wardrobe to fulfil the summer you’ve been waiting for.
