Amy Hall A/W’15: The Archive collection Edith ZamoraMarch 25, 20155 viewsFashion0 Comments5 views With a career that has seen Amy Hall being featured in Vogue and championed by Susie Bubble and Neneh Cherry among others, the knitwear designer presents her A/W’15 archive collection of favourite and best-selling pieces. The tenth collection marks a moment for the designer to reflect on her career highlights and present some of her most definitive pieces from the archive, all named after her best friends and family. This season, Amy has worked with a complimentary colour palette of icy grey and warm oxblood red, with flashes of teal blue and taupe for an extremely wearable and timeless winter wardrobe. As ever, Amy works with only the most luxurious materials, including a blend of soft silk mohair, which she continues to use each season, as well as chunky British mohair for superior warmth and merino yarn and alpaca. Amy Hall’s signature play on details can be seen with the use of tactile fabrics that move with ease, alongside quirky design features, such as the playful pompoms worked into some of her A/W’15 designs. All of Amy Hall’s pieces are designed with versatility in mind and each piece can be worn in a number of ways, reflecting the personality of the wearer. The ‘Beatrix’ T-shirt dress is an extremely transitional piece and can be paired with jeans, tights, trainers or heels for an equally striking day or night statement. Likewise, the much-loved ‘Alice’ cardigan’s cocoon like shape means it can be worn over a simple tee or dress to create a bold knit statement, or layered over thinner separates for a more textured look. Further to this, Amy’s accessories range continues to flourish with statement pieces like ‘Adriana’, a super grey scarf adorned with hand-cut fringing and ‘Polly’ wrist warmers for a luxe approach to keeping hands warm. Edith Zamora Prices for the latest collection range from £95 to £630 and it will be available from August 2015 from her online store.
