Bill Skinner is a British jewellery designer, inspired by nature and modern design that has been perfecting his craft for a number of years. He is known for his statement jewellery collections, which we’re all lusting after this year. Many incorporate majestic animals and celestial beings, intricately hand crafted onto rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings, appreciated by all who have an eye for detail and a taste for extravagance. 

Skinner started his career at Sir John Cass College of Art, afterwards working for numerous companies around London’s notorious Hatton Garden area. From there he continued to freelance, creating stunning pieces for the likes of Asprey, Garrads and Arpels. From the 1980’s onwards Bill Skinner honed in on his talent for creating, delicate and detailed statement jewellery. Skinner then began to work together with British fashion power-house, Vivienne Westwood and cemented his contribution of the wonderful sphere of fashion jewellery design. Alongside these monumental achievement’s Bill Skinner has also been commissioned to create pieces for Royalty. In January 2012 Skinner launched his own range, each piece hand crafted in his UK studio, and we are absolutely besotted with it!

Bill Skinner has a particular eye for design and all things beautiful, his own collections feature a number of stunning ring, necklace and bracelet designs, casted in gold plate, featuring magnificent animals, not so creepy crawlies and angelic beings. This incorporation of the world’s most fantastic creations crafted into statement pieces makes for truly original, sensational jewellery; inspired by the universe around us with a distinctly modern twist. Some of our favourite collections include ‘ Bee & Honeycomb.’ Which seen below looks glorious. A collection of bee inspired pieces, luxuriously dipped in gold, featuring decadent geometric honey comb designs. Devastatingly lovely!

Each collection has at least one piece you will probably decide you absolutely must have, but if we had to pick a second favourite from Skinner’s collections it might have to be the Avant Garde ‘Galloping Horses Bracelet’ (Available in rose gold, gold and ruthenium) which is truly a delight.
