Brandy Nicole Easter: The Unforgiver Stephanie AndersonSeptember 23, 20130 viewsdesignFashionStyle0 Comments0 views Brandy Nicole Easter is a London-based, American-born sustainable fashion designer. Studying at Central Saint Martins she learnt how to design beyond normal boundaries, especially in the often beige eco-fashion world. Her clothes are sweet and fun, never to be taken too seriously yet have such a strong message about over-consumption in the very cloth they are made of. Brandy Nicole Easter uses reclaimed materials from friends, car boot sales, and end of line rolls to create her colourful collections. Entitled, The Unforgiver, this collection is a little bit dark, with it’s inspiration taken from a trip to Hiroshima last summer. On return Brandy did a lot of research about the artefacts found after the bombing and discovered the lovely photographic work “Hiroshima”, by Miyako Ishiuchi. Overall she was drawn by the thought of impermanence in objects and in living beings, everything is always changing. The Unforgiver hopes to repair the damage to these artefacts that were un-knowing of that days’ tragedy. Photos: Paul Kondritz Click here to be taken to the website.
