Oxford based, Cats and Triangles is an online shop, their range consists of skatewear, from beanie hats to quirky, fresh cool tees. SS20 was opened in December 1988 in Oxford by Mon Barbour and Dave Furneau. Their aim was, and always will be, to provide the best possible equipment and advice in order to support the UK’s skate and snowboard scenes. SS20 have been the original skate sponsors for Tom Penny (now the legendary Flip pro), Danny Wainwright (partner in 50:50 skateshop and Guinness World record holder for the highest Ollie), Alex Moul (the youngest ever UK pro at 15, and UK skate legend) and Tom Watts (ex-pro on Unabomber). Mon Barbour (founder of SS20) is also a keen snowboarder and skater. He set up the Oxford Wheels Project Charity, Built Botley Bowl and helped with the legendary Cowley Road ramps. Back in the mid 80’s Mons Ramp (located at his parents farm near Banbury) was the scene for some of the best known B.M.X. and Skateboard jams of that decade. In addition he organised the first British Skateboard Championships at Radlands in 1995. The skateboard is available in 8.0″ (red) and 8.25″ (blue) the decks are made from 7-ply Canadian maple and come with free griptape. Melanie Stockman Head over to SS20 to pick one up for a reasonable £35. Find out more about C.A.T.s over at their website and Vimeo.
