In it’s 8th season, quirky kidswear label, CAVALIER, reconnects with mother nature and the animal kingdom to present its AW17/18 collection ‘Wild Ones’. The aftermath is a collection of peculiar articles of clothing sure to spark the infinite imagination of children from the world over. From the Nile and Armour series, 3 dimensional crocodile scales and a jacket that is literally a crocodile jaw (complete with teeth) that snaps close with magnetic buttons in the front sets CAVALIER’s signature surrealist tone for the collection.

Diving deeper into the sea, the Jelly and Nari-Nari series are spirited pieces inspired by the shape and flow of jellyfish and the spotted eagle stingray. Jelly is cut from an enchanting sage coloured French Terry speckled with champagne foil and made to mesmerise. The Nari-Nari Dress takes the eagle ray’s spots to another level with snap buttons from wrist to wrist providing an adjustable collar, sleeves and tons of fun with the added swirl in it’s pleated circle skirt.

Back on earthly ground, the Paw Dress in Grizzly and Panther takes CAVALIER’s iconic hands and turned them into furry paws this fall. And to crown the skies, the Flight series plays with soft tulle to create the wings of the magical Macaw and Condor.

In it’s 2nd instalment, CAVALIER’s collaboration with Singaporean womenswear label A.K.A Wayward brings another 4-piece capsule. Peep – a tongue-in-cheek character with apostrophes for eyes – makes his appearance on lightweight rainbow and monochrome French Terry. Finally, Earth goddesses Rhea and Artemis complete the collection in ethereal Tencel Linen dresses decorated with champagne, blue and sage toned tassels.
