Cecilia Cassini: The 10 Year Old Fashion Designer

While other little girls were playing with Barbies and colouring in, Cecilia Cassini was reading fashion magazines from all over the world and learning how to sew. At the age of 10 years-old, she’s already an established fashion designer who designs for children her age and younger. Cecilia Cassini, from Encino, California, USA- began her career as a fashion designer, when she was only five years old. The kid simply cut up her own sister’s Betsy Johnson dress, when no one was looking, and adjusted it to her own design and style. 

For her 6th birthday, she received a sewing machine and began taking sewing lessons. At 7 years old, she wrote a letter to her favourite fashion label, Chanel, for school, and designed her own logo, at 8. Being an inspiration towards others, her age and a lot older- young people are quickly picking her up and showing an interest in her quirky designs. It’s safe to say Cecilia was very creative, from an early age, but she got her big break last year, when her mother mentioned to a shop owner in her town that her daughter made dresses. The fifth-grader sold 50 pieces of what she had made and things started happening from there.

Now Cecilia Cassini has her own manager, no other than Pilar DeMann, the woman behind the Kardashians’ rise to power. Cecilia Cassini and her fashion creations are becoming more and more popular, with each passing day, and she’s even got her very own website. Everyone in the world can check out her designs — another super kid that’s going places, fast.
