Colore by Jay A/W'13 - The Clothes Maiden Magazine

Colore by Jay is a fashion brand founded by Jacklyn Andoh, better known as Jay. The young talented fashion designer and stylist was born in Palermo, Sicily and raised in Italy. She studied fashion design in England, where she also acted as a buyer for Lovestruck, a feminine, vintage style clothing brand. She discovered her interest for all things fashion at a young age, she knew at an early that her passion and purpose in life would shine through this field. For her, fashion has a deeper meaning it is something that comes from her heart and is expressed in every single piece she makes.

During her college years she discovered the effect that her bright and colourful attire had on people. Her inspiration comes from her diverse background, as Ghanaian and Italian. Her cultural heritage shines through and characterises the whole brand. The collection for A/W’13 is designed for both men and women and contains a beautiful mixture of playful colours, eye-catching details¸ African aesthetic with a vintage flair.

Her interest for vintage has become associated with the brand which she best describes as: vintage inspired style with a splash of colour. The fashion brand Colore by Jay, does truly live up to its name and the amazing colourful creations from the A/W’13 collection was seen at La Jeunesse Fundraiser Fashion Show in London last week.
