DBIllustrations: The Home of Illustrated Wares Stephanie AndersonJuly 27, 20132 viewslifestyle0 Comments2 views Welcome to the wonderful world of Deborah Ballinger Illustrations. All Deborah’s items are illustrated, designed and packaged in her little studio in Nottingham. Here we found an endless amount of lovingly handmade pieces perfect for around the home. From vibrant cushions to the odd piece of stationary to go into any modern office. Based in the historic countryside of Nottingham, Deborah did her degree at Norwich University of the Arts where she graduated with a 2:1 and a hunger to get creating. Inspired by history, culture, flora and fauna and traditions, Deborah uses these themes and more to create beautifully dark, natural and traditional illustrations. The freelance illustrator, surface and giftware designer produces so many things, from quirky cards, temporary tattoos, wrapping paper, tote bags and much more. Striving to keep many traditional and handmade elements within her work, Deborah uses the process of collage to begin breathing life into her pencil drawings before translating these onto textiles, stationery, giftware and cards. If you’re a fan of all things kitsch and handmade then have a wander to Deborah’s side of the web. Stephanie Anderson Click here to visit the DBIllustrations website.
