Designer Spotlight: Air & Grace Evie SwitzerApril 24, 20155 viewsDesigner spotlightFashion0 Comments5 views Wardrobe full of beautiful shoes that you never wear? Tired of getting home from work with burning feet? Shopped til you dropped, but only because your shoes let you down? We recently saw the launch of the new footwear collection from Air & Grace. A new footwear line for busy fashionistas, incorporating patent pending Tender Loving Air® technology that promises one simple but elusive thing – a cleverly hidden feel good factor without compromising on style. Founded by Claire Burrows, formerly Head of ALDO UK and previously at FitFlop, Kurt Geiger and Office, Air & Grace was born from the frustration that despite having a wardrobe of beautiful shoes, Claire all too often found herself falling back on trusted favourites that she could rely on not to ruin her day. Further research proved she was not alone, so Claire took a leap of faith and left her role at ALDO to dedicate herself to creating the Air & Grace brand, and her patent pending technology Tender Loving Air. As wearable and technically innovative as her designs may be, Claire has ensured that style remains firmly at the heart of all things Air & Grace. The core collection, which features leopard print cut outs, monochrome styling, modern metallics and classic luxe staples has been shaped from her own personal style and influences, with photographer Tommy Ton, super-blogger Garance Dore and even Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival cited as her points of reference throughout the Air & Grace design process. S/S’15 will see exciting developments for Air & Grace, a premium collaboration with cult womenswear brand Teatum Jones is currently in development for London Fashion Week 2015, alongside the much anticipated re-release of Air & Grace’s ballet pump line which has a waiting list currently standing at over 150 names. Evie Switzer Air & Grace is stocked in the Kith & Kin conscious luxury pop up shop at 330 Kings Rd, Chelsea from now until mid March and The Women’s Society Boutique in Hertford. Prices start from £150, for online orders visit the website here.
