Designer Spotlight: Catherine Vittoria S/S’16 Collection Melanie StockmanAugust 18, 20165 viewsFashion0 Comments5 views Catherine Vittoria has been the creative director of a historic Milanese brand and works as a freelancer for Italian fashion companies. In 2015, after attending a design course at Central Saint Martins, the designer decided to found her own brand, Vittoria Caterina. The collection was born from the idea that we can create a total look from a wire, the thread that is woven into the knits. The inspiration comes from the traditional dress of the people of the world. Hosiery, jewellery, accessories, made in Italy using traditional techniques, talk about countries, cultures and distant atmospheres full of charm. Vittoria Caterina looks to the past to create something contemporary, something that can be worn by women today. Overall, the S/S’16 collection is wearable, extremely colourful and modern, with the sweet decorative use of pom poms! Melanie Stockman Click here to visit the Vittoria Caterina website.
