To compliment her styling technique Julia, started developing detailed and delicate jewellery to go with her shoots. Clancey’s first stunning piece was featured on the covers of UK Vogue by famed photographer Corrine Day. In 2010 the first jewellery showroom of Julia Clancey appeared in West Hollywood which marked the official beginning, of the now crazed, unique line of jewellery. Being a stylist posed as a great networking tool as Julia began to privately cater to her high profile and celebrity clients. Inversed clients include Megan Fox, Sienna Miller, Juliette Lewis and Dita Von Teese. Clancey’s collection has been displayed in high fashion magazines such as Vogue, W magazine and Elle. The collection of jewellery is to channel prime designs that have been revamped, from timeless pieces that have been passed down from generation to generation. “My inspirations have deep seeded roots in both vintage and historical costume. There are influences from the art deco period along with the architecture. Erete was without a doubt is where my direction with accessories came from. I discover intricate beaded art work in a Parisian market and the line evolved from there” Julia explained. Julia’s first pieces of inspiration came from both her grandmothers and included a pearl necklace, a ruby and a pearl ring. These items were the epitome of classic, beautiful designs and the colours are featured in the line of couture. In recent time, Clancey has completed her third feature film as head of costume design, where she has the canvas to boast her craft. For the coming season the collection presents, a new line of luxury leather pieces, in LA designer based store H.Lorenzo. Each segment was hand crafted onto silks using Swarovski pearls and crystals. The dramatic line includes hand drapes, cuff, necklaces, belts, head pieces, mask and body drapes. Julia presents art that are bold, enriched, opulent and graceful. The designer graces us with the past, present and future. A presentation of ancient Roman Goddess Bodiacia to the Mata Hari’s of the present day, commence this unique house of jewellery.
