Designer Spotlight: Marcellamoda – Minimalist Womenswear With An Elegant Touch Melanie StockmanMarch 24, 201615 viewsFashion0 Comments15 views This week we’re featuring the minimalistic womenswear label Marcellamoda, which started off as a small family boutique – designing, sewing, modelling and has now turned into a successful brand with a great team of talented seamstresses and assistants in Europe. Season after season Marcellamoda present ready to wear pieces that are inspired by the urban streets of New York. There’s something about the Big Apple that has a heavy influence on each garment, from the grey concrete skyscrapers to the ambient energy of the city. Marcellamoda’s DNA is a simple cut, which becomes unique due to the unusual details, such as mesh sleeves in a few of their dress designs. The aim of this sleek womenswear brand is to create unique, timeless, but comfortable and wearable clothes. The label is named after the family’s grandmother, Marcella, a famous Bulgarian designer. She was the one to truly define the sensibility for clean lines and beautiful fabrics. Although the team are self-taught designers, they have a combination of art, music and business education that makes them aspire towards building a dream of beauty and aesthetics. Melanie Stockman 5% of Marcellamoda’s profits are donated to UNICEF. Click here to view more of the collection online. You can also follow the brand on social media: Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.
