With a background in fashion styling and make-up artistry, Nina Rai used her passion for everything beautiful to become a self taught milliner. To pursue her fascination with adornment and millinery she created her first collection of crystal tiara headpieces, taking inspiration from the sophisticated and glamorous 1920’s. The metalwork of her headpieces are rhodium plated, a tough precious metal from the platinum family and adorned with aged and distressed Swarovski and Austrian crystals.


Nina Rai’s vision of creating wearable pieces of Haute Couture artwork can be seen throughout her current collection of Hair Slides. Each slide is created to sit beautifully on the head, really showcasing her attention to detail. Careful consideration has been given not only to the shape of each piece, but the rise to ensure the piece can be seen when worn with various hair styles. 

Pieces are made to sit along the side of the head or at the back, in an up do or bun, with each piece being tailored towards the clients preferred placement. The gradual working of the metal to create beautiful, gently aged pieces is available in Gold, Silver and Black creating a versatile collection which can be worn to a vast range of occasions and events.


Nina Rai is an artist who strives to make her vision perfect. The feathers she uses are hand dyed and individually ironed, an incredibly time consuming procedure which is done to create the perfect fall and shaping making each piece exquisite and unique. 

Also offering a bespoke service, Nina Rai aspires to work with clients who have an appreciation for fine artistic creations. Her vision for the brand sees collaborations with fashion designers to create one of the strongest brands in the world of millinery.
