Designer Spotlight: Stay Cool NYC

Recently we discovered the super cool new streetwear label, Stay Cool NYC, created by New York designer Amin Adjmi. We all have those lazy days where we feel like putting on an oversized tee and some comfy lounge pants. This is what inspired Amin Adjmi to create Stay Cool NYC. The goal is to inspire people from all walks of life to wear a new style of clothing what the brand calls “chill wear”, things you can throw on everyday when you’re just chilling and hanging out with friends, or even hanging around the house.

Stay Cool NYC focus on clean, simple, yet unique designs that cater for just about anyone. The online webstore consists of casual long sleeved tees and accessories, perfect to wear when you’re at your ‘no motivation’ stage, whether this be a Sunday morning, or the second you walk through the door when you’ve done a hard day in class or been at work.

Amin Adjmi has always loved fashion but never got a chance to do anything with it, until now. Amin was heavily influenced by the retro fashion trends from the past and wanted to blend this in with Stay Cool NYC. The colours and designs used have retro vibes running through each piece he releases. Colour schemes like pink, green and black can be seen in all the different styles.
