DIY: How To Create Your Own Galaxy Bath Bombs Alicia JoyNovember 19, 2016106 viewsBeauty0 Comments106 views If you’re getting a bit bored of your bog standard bath bubbles and want to be creative this weekend, then you might want to get your hands stuck into this little project. Here’s how to make some super cool Galaxy bath bombs. Your skin will be left feeling really clean and soft. Let’s get started! What You Need To Use: 1/2 cup baking soda 1/4 cup citric acid 1/4 cup cornstarch 1 tbsp. oil food colouring some sprinkles (optional) A few drops of essential oil 1. Mix your dry ingredients Put all of your dry ingredients together in a bowl, this is your baking soda, citric acid and cornstarch. Give it a good stir with a spoon. 2. Add Your Oil Slowly add 1 tablespoon of oil while you keep stirring the mixture. This is your ‘wet’ phase and will make the mixture clump together. Some recipes use water or witch hazel. The oil also adds a nice moisturising touch. Double win! You can also add a few drops of essential oil at this point, such as peppermint and grapefruit essential oil. 3. Colouring Time! Divide the mixture over several (smaller) bowls. Add a different colour of food colouring to each bowl. Start by adding one drop, mix well and then add another. Because the food colouring is water based, again, you don’t want your bath bomb mixture to start fizzing! First the food colouring formed little specks in the mixture. But if you keep stirring it well it will colour the whole batch. 4. Create Your Epic Bath Bomb You can use any type of mold you like, a star shape for example would work great as well. Fill up both sides of your mold with the mixture. Press it down tightly as you go. Fill up each half until it’s somewhat overflowing. Close up the ornament and twist both sides together. Use a hair tie around it to make sure it stays closed. Once closed tightly. Put in the fridge for a little while. There’s one important rule though: when you open it, don’t twist! Just pull it apart slowly with your finger nails. Wrap it up for a present or treat yourself to a Galaxy bath. Either way, it smells delicious and looks fabulous! Alicia Joy Via Source
