Eclectic Eccentricity S/S’14: Muse Stephanie AndersonMarch 20, 20141 viewsdesignFashionJewelleryStyle0 Comments1 views Sometimes, it is the accessory that makes the outfit. It can create a subtle touch of glamour or delicacy or that extra sparkle that completely changes the entirety of the look. Whether you’re looking for another ring or a special everyday necklace, or perhaps the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, the new Spring Collection from Thinking Girl’s jewellery brand, Eclectic Eccentricity, provides an exceptional new collection called Muse. Celebrating Beauty Beyond the Conventional, this design-led indie company creates a thoughtful take on accessories, channelling its inner art passion to fashion an entire range inspired by the detailed, intense and luxurious paintings of one of history’s most audacious art movement, the Pre-Raphaelites. It is the art movement that generated picturesque watery reeds as background, the soft nature slick in decoration, bold religious iconography, stars, crystals and stormy skylines, where these art formations have now been transcribed into a collection of contemporary jewellery. The painting’s ideals of romance and friendship have been combined with EE’s passion for strong, geometric shapes, vintage brass depictions of flora, soft and gentle gem stones which have created a range including necklaces, earrings, bracelets, ring and even a regal crown if one feels daring enough. Taking a look at their website where their collections are portrayed, the Muse collection is both stunning and incredibly intricate; fit to be seen as part of museum collections. There is something quite vintage and aged, while so new in their creation, in that gathering of gold and brass pieces, the colours ranging emerald blue and hazy greens. The pendants and lockets are luscious and mesmerising, with a feel that they have been passed down by generations; its heirloom-quality is something hard to produce but the Muse collection has shown with grace and allure. The pieces have spirals and curves, some changing with floral ease, and others adding bolder touches with sharp and straight shapes. An Amazonian woman feel comes across in head chains and crowns, while the chunky, brass and gemstone bracelets and vintage rings are classic and lustrous designs, adding both a classy and exquisite feel that is hard to replicate. It is therefore far more engaging to note that the price range is from an affordable fifteen to twenty-five pounds, the Titania Amazonite Crown the only piece that breaks from the range, going for fifty-five pounds on the website. I will admit myself that I found myself enthralled by the collection for its queenly and finely-designed accessories are a fantastic option at an affordable price. The EE’s Muse collection offer accessories that are not something to go with an outfit; their pieces are what would make the outfit. Yasmin Mahdy You can shop at their website here.
