Yet, that feeling can now change since start-up business, Eight Hour Studio, has picked up the idea of sleepwear not just being resigned to the bed but turned into daywear. Fashionable clothing for the night now are transformed to be strutted outside by an enterprise founded on the goals of offering a range of sleepwear that have been converted into stylish and elegant designs where the only shame would be if they remained under covers. Eight Hour Studios products are produced by high quality organic cotton attentive of environmental and with an ethical conscience. Coloured fabrics are used by AZO free dyes and the garments completion with detail and trims are ensured by fair trade supplier, Mehera Shaw, ensuring to develop upcycled textile products. Their fabrics are hand wood block-printed, the choice of design supporting a struggling craft of printers unable to compete with fast paced technological improvements and mass production from factories. In preserving this skill, the designed prints are hand carved out of wood blocks by artisans which are in turn used by highly skilled printers to make hand-pressed repeat prints on lengths of fabrics. The sleepwear products are created in soft, pastel colours in simple, light cuts and intricate designs. The Dawn and Dusk collection contrast in colours, the Dawn collection compiled of sleepwear products in gentle blue and pale white moderately patterned in smooth waves that embellish the chosen colour and embellishing the overall warm and peaceful look. Tanktops and camisoles can be chosen alongside shorts or trousers in contrast. The blazer nightshirt or blazer has two complementing patterns, a tailored take on the oversized shirt from the wavy blue and more intricate bolder print pattern with agoya shell buttons, perfect for with sandals on holiday. The bottoms on the collection feature pleats on the front and grosgrain tie in the front with side vents, providing a flattering fit and its cotton fabric soft and comfortable. The Dusk Collection is compiled of products of a subtle blush tone, feminine in its pastel colour and soft fabrics one-hundred percent organic cotton.
