The inspiration behind the Ella & Me brand is Mary Headen & Eric Quarmby – the grandparents of the current MD, who opened the factory in 1935. They were a glamorous couple, right at the heart of Manchester’s business and social scene, and they both loved Jazz, with Ella Fitgerald being a particular favourite. Hence, the naming of Ella & Me – where each collection will be named after a particular Ella song. The brands first collection, Night & Day aims to seduce your senses with its luxurious quality and excuisite detailing.
