ESTby ES A/W’14: Effortless shapes in sharp tones Avery ParkerOctober 26, 20140 viewsFashionLookBook0 Comments0 views ESTby ES. is a kind of fashion you don’t have to understand, you just wear it. Established in 2009, the Warsaw-based fashion house brings functional, yet beautifully innovative pieces to life for women who crave a timeless wardrobe that truly makes an impact. EST by ES’s collections are celebrated for offering outstanding tailoring teamed with distinct forms and considered detailing. They boast character, attract attention, and each item’s minimal structure has been designed to create that elusive, perfect silhouette. The sleek A/W’14 collection features clean, effortless shapes in sharp tones of monochrome and softer, sandy hues, teamed with delicate prints and thoughtful details, creating the ultimate easy-to-wear capsule work wardrobe for the affluent, stylish, and independent modern woman. The brains, and the expert hands, behind this brand is chief designer and founder, Gosia Sobiczewska. Gosia graduated from the Faculty of Textile and Fashion at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. She went on to work with the Polish Designers boutique, and was also a part of the WoSo design duo for four years. Taking advantage of her vast industry knowledge, Gosia has given a series of lectures at the International Visage and Make-up School in Nice, cementing her place within the industry, and showing others how to break the mould, as she continues to do. Another addition to Gosia’s already impressive CV, is her costume design work for theatre productions in Paris. Gosia has taken this ability for creative vision and translated it over to a more wearable ideal which is reflected in the unexpected detailing and simple, yet striking design features which give her pieces, and brand, their unmistakable identity. Gosia’s vision isn’t about creating fast fashion and she doesn’t bend to fads and trends – her passion lies in designing investment pieces you’ll want to wear season after season. Her garments exude character, and they tell a story. The contemporary coats, structured skirts, and understated dresses are simple in their shape – but it’s the detailing which really makes the pieces stand out. Her careful attention to detail is second-to-none; her discreet drapery, distinctive trimming, and imaginative cutting make these pieces exceedingly covetable. EST by ES’s collections feature both everyday pieces and lust-worthy investments. Adaptable and wearable, these future classics have shown EST by ES to be a highly significant brand, creating a shift in European fashion. The essence of the brand is captured in its luxe tailoring and considered design. The cuts may be borrowed from a man’s closet, but each piece is designed with a modern woman in mind. The garments communicate a quiet, yet confident message of style without the need for excess. Avery Parker Visit here to see the full collection.
