Event: LK Bennett Fashion Party – a beautifully planned occasion Sophie HalbertSeptember 20, 20145 viewseventFashionlifestylereview0 Comments5 views The Westfield White City LK Bennett store had been transformed into a chic soiree with a catwalk space, make-up corner, massages and other delightful treats to greet stylish guests for it’s most recent fashion party. After grabbing a glass of champagne and a Hotel Chocolat chocolate treat, we were asked to gather around the catwalk for an interactive styling presentation by 3 Colours Rule. Models took to the stage wearing the Autumn/Winter ‘14 LK Bennett collection. Garments included a smart monochrome patterned pencil dress teamed with pink shoes, floral skirts and silk blouses paired with vibrant coats in canary yellow and poppy red,and a trench coat worn over a royal blue work wear dress. Classic leather bags were carried in an array colours to match the looks. We were then invited to decide upon whether the models shapes were an apple, a pear, an hourglass and so on, with the chance of winning a 3 Colours Rule bag for guessing correctly. The presentation was fun and entertaining, no one took themselves too seriously, models included! After joking around, and the difference between an hourglass and an apple had been grasped with much laugher, we were encouraged to shop and explore what was on offer. Sparkles and bold prints jumped out from shoes and dresses; we found it hard to resist the pink sugary glitter shoes. With the current Barbie trend at the forefront of the fashion world, emphasised by Jeremy Scott’s latest S/S’15 collection for Moschino showcased at Milan Fashion Week, we were very tempted by such gorgeous shoes! The pastel pinks, silvers, and neutral colours of the shoes complimented the sparkles so well. We also lusted after a voluminous A-line silk navy skirt with a strong floral rose print in red and white, teamed with a white shirt and pointed heels, what could look better? We were pleasantly surprised to discover quirky jewellery designer Tara McInerney of Tara Mac Jewellery. Her necklaces on display had been laser cut in acrylic to create rectangular, circular and oval shapes in an array of blues and pinks attached to colourful chains of different widths. Our other exciting discovery of the night centred around our love for cake, naturally. Sarah Hilleary from B-Tempted supplied the evening with delicious gluten free treats using creative flavours of white chocolate and rose to create irresistible sponges and flourless brownies. With the opportunity to shop with a discount, mingle, sip champagne and nibble on sweet treats as well as be pampered, this sophisticated evening reflected the elegance of the LK Bennett store. Our only regret, why didn’t we buy those sparkly shoes?! Sophie Halbert Click here to visit the LK Bennett website.
