Exhibition: ‘Modern Slavery, Modern Fashion’ – Human Rights Action Centre Imogen McGillFebruary 23, 20159 viewsArtexhibition0 Comments9 views An exhibit, entitled Modern Slavery, Modern Fashion, will be on display at the Human Rights Action Centre in Shoreditch this week from the February 24th-Monday 9th March 2015. Inspired by human rights issues such as the rights of workers in the garment industry, child soldiers, women’s rights and freedom of expression, around 300 students have produced an array of posters depicting current and urgent concerns which threaten the lives of people all around the world. Students from all over the globe, under the tutelage of the London College of Fashion, have joined forces with Amnesty to provide their own unique and creative take on human rights concerns from child marriage, to forced labour and feminism. The Exhibition will consist of a display of posters inspired by Amnesty’s activism Imogen McGill The exhibition takes place at The Human Rights Action Centre, 17 – 25 New Inn Yard, London, EC2A 3EA, 9am-5pm.
