Met Ball 2016: Red Carpet Dresses and Celebrity Fashion Avery ParkerMay 16, 20166 viewsFashion0 Comments6 views For fashion lovers out there, no doubt you will have kept your eyes peeled for some of the craziest styles to come out of the Annual Met Ball Gala, we sure did! Each year A List celebrities and socialites, singers and stars come together for the fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. Designers jump at the opportunity to share and create some fabulous one of the kind and straight of the runway designs for this event, which has a different theme every year. The theme for this year was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology with many attendees taking this theme to the max, with metallics. This year shining stars such as Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West made a metallic appearance along with Kylie Jenner. The family who dresses together in Balmain stays together in Balmain, the reality family’s favourite designer pulled out all the stops with these metallic numbers. Just one thing we are not sure of is Kaye’s contacts, weird or what? Power couple Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik matched in metallic and looked lovely and loved up in their designs. Although we don’t think we will be seeing armour in menswear anytime soon, Gigi’s metallic touches with her nails, makeup and hair we think will be popular this summer. Rita Ora rocked it in her silver feather gown making her appearance known in the risqué Vera Wang dress. So the full design I doubt we will be seeing this season, but do look out for feather numbers and rocking your style with confidence, Rita style! Fashion Failures Looking back at past events, online voucher code website, My Voucher Codes picked out who they thought had the most Outrageous Outfits. Featuring serial offenders such as Madonna and frock horrors from style queens such as Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney. Although there are many ways you can take a theme each year, these stars took them to the extreme in some cases, leaving us asking what were you thinking? Avery Parker
