Fatboy x MaryMe-JimmyPaul: Madison Collection Edith ZamoraOctober 24, 201531 viewsFashion0 Comments31 views Fatboy, a Dutch-based company in lifestyle, has partnered with fashion design duo MaryMe-JimmyPaul (MMJP) from Amsterdam, to design Fatboy rainwear to infuse into their ‘Madison Collection’. Celebrities as Lady Gaga, Iggy Azalea and Rihanna are already familiar with MaryMe- JimmyPaul and have been spotted several times wearing their remarkable designs. From now on Fatboy can be added to this list: MaryMe-JimmyPaul designed a unique rainwear collection for the lifestyle brand. The new rainwear collection (as a part of the MMJP spring 2016 collection) is inspired by Japanese Zen Gardens and has natural influences like landscaped parks, campgrounds and waterfalls. Working with the ceremonial traditions and aesthetics from Zen gardens, MMJP took the influence of western jacket styles and combined them with the icon of Japanese culture, the kimono. The rainwear collection exists of three complete outfits in the colours yellow and white and are made from fabrics such as nylon, which is also used by Fatboy for the Original beanbag. The result is a playful, cosmopolitan and cheeky view on rainwear. For more than a decade Fatboy has been bringing innovative lifestyle products to people in over sixty countries worldwide. Fatboys’ identity is anchored in iconic designs mixed with a creative spirit that extends into all their product offerings. Fatboy seeks to enhance experiences and spaces, both indoor and outdoor, by designing functional and unique interior, design, lighting and lifestyle products that make a statement. On the other hand, MMJP explores fashion in its own unique way by pushing the boundaries of shape, textures, and colours, raising eyebrows with big, sculptural works, crafting desirable and avant-garde clothing. MMJP takes the viewer into a beautiful and humorous fantasy fashion world through its unique presentation which is why the collaboration with Fatboy evokes an immense amount of anticipation and excitement. Both Fatboy as MMJP use a lot of colours in their designs and both like to think outside the box. This natural fit and the idea of turning (often a bit boring) rainwear into a timeless and iconic fashion. Edith Zamora Click here to see more from the Fatboy x MaryMe-JimmyPaul collection.
