Gabriela Ligenza’s A/W’13 revolution Stephanie AndersonDecember 21, 201315 viewsarchitecturedesignFashionInspirationStyle0 Comments15 views Starting her career in architecture, this artist has taken a creative journey with a surprising twist. Ligenza started her career as a trained architect, evolving into interior design and eventually blossoming into a career as a milliner. The revolution served Ligenza well as her journey has seen her through the creation of sophisticated, yet fashionable hats adorned by royals, celebrities and fashion conscious women alike. Her fall collection, a range of nine different hats was inspired by legendary reggae artist Bob Marley. The range is seemingly named after the artist’s musical hits like, ‘Get Up Stand Up’, ‘Buffalo Soldier’, ‘Waiting In Vain’ and ‘Buffalo Soldier’ to mention a few. Bringing vibrancy to our fall wardrobes, the hats have been in designed some exciting colours. ‘Get Up Stand Up’ has been created in red, white and black with added leopard print detail adding a splash of colour to an otherwise dull fall ensemble. ‘Waiting In Vain’ adds more to the cause in turban shaped burnt orange and brown combination hat which truly emulates the fall colours seen in nature when autumn begins.
