Gandys x Liberty Imogen McGillSeptember 11, 20145 viewsDesigner CollaborationfootwearUnisex0 Comments5 views Gandys, created by two young, passionate brothers has grown tremendously in the last year. Orphaned by the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami they decided to give a little bit back where 10% of all their profits go towards the Gandys mission ‘Orphans for Orphans’. Gandys and Liberty have collaborated in the summer of 2014 to create everyone’s favourite summer accessory in classic Liberty prints. The collaboration launched with a vibrant window display at Liberty showcasing these unique flip flops that capture perfectly the youthful spirit of Gandys and the rich design heritage of Liberty. The prints featured on the range are some of Liberty’s best-loved classic prints: Lord Paisley, Felix and Isabelle, and Hera. They are in store in Liberty’s as well as online and in independent boutiques and they are currently launching across Europe and Internationally. This year has proved to be a huge success for Gandys, gaining Royal Support as Exceptional Young Leaders by Her Majesty The Queen. Gandys have recently collaborated with Liberty where sales have gone wild and high streets favourite retailer Accessorize to mark the 10th Anniversary of the tsunami and to take part in a charity project EMERGE, supporting vulnerable children in Sri Lanka to help them build a better future.
