Nestled between Brazil and Argentina, Uruguay is far from the fashion capital list. Growing up in idyllic roots, designer German Hernandez was not like most kids, he had a passion for fashion. The brand was accordingly named German Hernandez after the founder and is better known as GH. As a younger child the designer always wanted to be an astronaut, and through adolescent years he became obsessed with fashion. Looking at German Hernandez collections, you can definitely sense the space like futuristic influence on the designs. German has a love for melodramatic show stopping pieces exaggerated but still ready to wear.

Hernandez has  taken notes from famed designers such as Alexander McQueen, Elsa Schiaparelli and Balmain. GH just presented the collection for A/W 2015. Sleek, chic and the always fashionable black was the only colour used for this coming season. Staying true with the thoughts of space and the future GH had as a child. This collection is mysterious, cutting edge and very much on trend.

This coming season presents a cryptic, noir medieval movement called “Danse Macabre”. Leather with beaded accents rounds up this A/W’15 preview. German Hernandez has come a long way having learned many valuable lessons in fashion. German wants his clients to feel comfortable and attractive. This sleek brand is already turning heads with South American media personalities, and is looking forward to branching out.
