Get the Look For Less: A/W’15 Ready-to-Wear Inspiration Sophie PrescottAugust 18, 20153 viewsFashion0 Comments3 views As we approach the new season, we turn to the runways for a little bit of inspiration, but unfortunately, for every stylish look seen on the runway comes a hefty price-tag. Luckily we have scoured the best of the high-street and online for essential pieces inspired by some of our favourite shows – at half the price. Read on to find out how you can get the designer look for less. Chloé The Inspiration: Chloé’s A/W’15 show came with a folksy charm, but was anything but twee. Floaty feminine materials were seen alongside more masculine tailored pieces, and almost every look was accessorised with a skinny scarf. With long hair flowing, the Chloé girl this season is a free spirit with a put-together look. Get The Look: Scarf – Asos, £8 // Jeans – H&M, £30 // Dress – Boohoo, £25 // Belt – Asos, £6 // Blouse – Next, £30 // Jacket – Topshop, £55 The flowing sheer materials of this blouse and maxi shirt dress emulate the boho look seen floating down the runway, with more structured denim and tweed pieces to toughen up your look. Simply add staple accessories and your look is complete. Dolce & Gabbana The Inspiration: The D&G show this season was nothing short of indulgent; with its striking use of the red rose motif, through to the luxe velvets and embellished accessories, we were presented to an array of feminine designs with a striking use of blush pinks, powder blues, deep greens and black. Get The Look: Kimono – H&M, £29.99 // Dress – Boohoo, £10 // Headband – Accessorise, £19 // Earrings – Mirabelle, £30 // Bag – River Island, £35 // Shoes – J by Jasper Conran, £45 We’ve picked a gorgeous shift dress in dusky pink, as well as a kimono reminiscent of the central theme. Then get creative with some decadent accessories – we love this River Island jewelled box clutch, which is sure to make a statement. Balenciaga The Inspiration: Wang’s designs this year were sleek and chic, but with a refreshingly tough edge. For every ladylike look there were leather details and grid prints, and embellished, dainty footwear alternated with hardy boots. Apart from the odd flash of colour, the collection was largely monochrome, with a prominent theme of grey bouclé. Get The Look: Coat – Topshop, £85 // Top – New Look, £8.99 // Shoes – Next, £36 // Necklace – Aldo, £21 // Skirt – Boohoo, £5 This windowpane check skirt is a perfect homage to the show, combined with a staple piece: the tweed-look grey coat. Add a touch of glamour with some silver touches, for a wearable winter look with a subtle touch of glitz. Isabel Marant The Inspiration: So many elements of the Isabel Marant show were so wearable. Everything was high-waisted, knitwear was on point and there was a nod to the slouchy, 70s style silhouette we have seen everywhere recently, while remaining completely contemporary. We can’t wait to see the high-street copies. Get The Look: Jumper – Louche, £21 // Boots – Dune, £89 // Top – Miss Selfridge, £16 // Trousers (part of co-ords set) – Boohoo, £15 // Tunic – Next, £32 // Belt – Asos, £20 So many individual pieces from Marant were so easily copied on the high-street. We adore this cleverly modern take on a lace-up peasant top, inspired by the sporty sweatshirt seen on the runway. We’ve also spotted a double for the leather waist belt, courtesy of Asos – a steal at £20. Sophie Prescott
