“Erotic Dreams” is your first solo show in New York in some time. How has your work developed since your last “American Dream” exhibition?
We’ve added more multimedia aspects, more film video. Also music and sound elements now. And certainly drawing much large crowds to the exhibitions.

Young people and college students are especially drawn to your work. Why is that?
No idea. I think they must relate to the work on some level. But they are my most loyal fans and do a great job spreading the word.

Where are you finding ideas for your work these days?
Mostly the streets and nightlife scene in New York. The city is very inspirational and certainly would be a very dull place without all its outcasts.

What’s the weirdest thing you ever saw happen at one of your shows?
There’s been lots of alcohol drugs and nudity. But, not sure how weird that is for my shows. One time there was a topless women seductively dancing with her pet poodle in something that was verging on almost a bestiality- looking back, I guess that was a bit weird.

What’s your favourite New York watering hole or restaurant?
I spend a lot of time at Rudy’s in Hell’s Kitchen. PJ Clarks is another one of my hang outs. But, I think Tipsy Parsons has the best cocktails in the city.

What’s the last great book you read?
Andy Warhol’s philosophy book. Also just read a small book if Karl Lagerfeld quotes. And really anything by Hunter Thompson.

What work of art do you wish you owned?
I like Jeff Koons large balloon dog sculptures. But, they’re a bit big for my Manhattan apartment and they’re going to set me back quite a bit of cabbage

I read you’re in negation with NetFlix about developing a really show revolving around you, your models and the New York art screen. Can you tell me any more about what to expect?
No, We’re still kicking around ideas. But it will be something very cool.
