An Interview With Elizabeth le Fey from Globelamp

Please tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Elizabeth le Fey, I’m a songwriter who lives in Olympia, Washington. I am from Orange County, California. I love tea and animals!

What inspired you to begin your musical career?
I’ve been around music my whole life and started playing piano at around age fivem  I wanted to combine my poetry with my love of music.

What do you do when you’re not using your creative brain?
I am usually always doing something creative and if it isn’t music it is writing, reading or photography.

Do you have any favourite artists out there?
Alphonse Mucha, Frida Kahlo, Man Ray, Diane Arbus

Who’s your personal style icon and why?
Stevie Nicks: witchy lady. Dark moon, lace, mystical. David Bowie: crafted multiple personas. Bright, eccentric, daring. Courtney Love: baby doll dresses and tiaras.

Do you have a favourite band out there right now?
Cherry Glazerr.

Any exciting projects in the pipeline?
I am working on my next full length album “The Orange Glow” that will be out next year. I am also putting together a full band for live shows which is really exciting.

How do you see yourself in five years time?
I see myself with many more records, a college degree and traveling the world.
