Interview: Floyd Grey – Artist

Please tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi, I’m Floyd Grey from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 24 years old, graduated from Dasein Academy of Art in Kuala Lumpur. Majoring in Illustration, I love photography, I love Woody and BuzzLightyear, I love ANTM and Project Runway.

What inspired you to begin your artistic career? I love drawing and crafting when I was in high school, so I decided to attend an art college. I’m having a great time in  college, it makes me a better person, I felt more passionate in art and beauty, design and life.

What do you do when you’re not using your creative brain?
Listen to the music, read a book, hang out with friends and watch movies!

Do you have any favourite artists out there?
Yes, David Downton.

Who’s your personal style icon and why?
My style icon is Christoph Schaller, because he’s near my age, I like the simplicity that he has on his style, and I like it a lot!

Do you have a favourite piece of artwork?
I think the nature is my favourite piece of artwork.

Any exciting projects in the pipeline? 
There’s no illustration projects going on right now, but I’ll be focusing more on photographs and taking pictures.
