Jade Clark x Allison Bamcat S/S’16 Collection Bailey MossJuly 31, 201645 viewsFashion0 Comments45 views Born and bred in Doncaster, Jade Clark isn’t one to be described as ‘subtle’. Graduating in 2012 from De Monfort University, Jade showcased her tongue in cheek menswear collection at Graduate Fashion Week where it was met with rapturous applause from the online community. Heavily influenced by British gang culture, street crime and thuggish lads, she juxtaposed this with a sickly sweet pastel/neon hybrid palette. These influences led way to embroidered leather masks, ballsy sheer track suits with holographic slogans, midriff baring crop tops and oversized monster knits. The collection struck the eye of the industry and has been worn by the likes of Rita Ora, Alexis Knox and Tanya Lacey. Jade wanted to make the collection accessible for the masses, so she started to create ready to wear lines. She is currently stocked all over the world including Innocent Hood in Taiwan, Tibbs & Bones Australia, DOLLSKILL & Nikkilipstick USA. Jade’s latest collection is in collaboration with the artist Allison Bamcat. The prints featured are handpainted in gouche by Allison before translating to textiles, whilst Jade designs the ensemble itself. The bold collection shows her true romance with sassy colour combo’s and playful prints. Handmade in South Yorkshire, form, texture and fun are at the heart of her ethos.
