We wanted to know more from the designer about the latest collection entitled Shadows:
“My style and creativity are both greatly informed by music and the culture that surrounds it.
Shadows is a collection specifically inspired by the women behind the scenes of Rock and Roll. The mysterious, unidentified muses of music have intrigued me as equally as the Bianca Jaggers and Jane Birkins of the world.
I always wonder about the ladies who have sparked so many beautiful, timeless pieces of music into existence. I love to find out the stories behind these women who remain faceless to us, but whose names we hear in so many songs.
This curiosity is what started the idea of Shadows. The collection is an homage that reflects and continues the legacy of women who we know through music, but whose identities have been kept in the shadows.”
Each hat is made carefully by hand, a product of years of labour and skill fueled by a dedication to craftsmanship.
