Jay Briggs A/W’15: Sacred Treason Collection Evie SwitzerDecember 7, 201518 viewsFashion0 Comments18 views Inspired by the life of Anne Boleyn, “Sacred Treason”, Jay Briggs continues to look at empowered women who in this circumstance, changes the face of a country by enchanting a king and court. The use of 14th century silhouettes and heavy embellishment, Sacred Treason comes to life as a part of a modern artistic take on the Tudor Royal attire. Jay Briggs keeps to his experimenting with the use of sustainably sourced taxidermy crows wings and ostrich feather boas, creating a delicate yet powerful collection. Much like the story of Anne Boleyn having been seen as religious yet aggressive and calculating yet emotional, Jays work is a juxtaposition of sharp winged silhouettes and floaty silk tulle fabrics. His show piece shows the bloody end to Anne Boleyn with a grand pheasant feather crown and a beautiful veil laced with red. Evie Switzer Click here to view more from Jay Briggs
