Jennifer Loiselle: Tissage Bailey MossAugust 26, 20145 viewsdesignFashionHandmadeIndependentJewelleryStyle0 Comments5 views Jennifer Loiselle is an Australian born, UK based handmade accessories designer with a penchant for statement pieces incorporating unexpected combinations of materials and techniques. Jennifer’s path to designing and creating jewellery and accessories was not a straightforward one, taking her from writing and styling for national newspapers in Australia, India and Japan before landing in London where she created content for fashion websites and studied footwear design at Cordwainers. A brief maternity leave induced hiatus helped her finally find her true calling as an accessories and jewellery designer and she quickly found her initial collections of limited edition pieces selling out and being worn by internet luminaries like Susie Bubble, Tavi and Madmoiselle Robot. Now with two well received collections behind her Jennifer is launching “Tissage”, a collection inspired by the fabric works of confessional art doyenne Louise Bourgeois. Comprised of striking three dimensional pieces combining richly coloured hand woven grosgrain alongside laser cut perspex detailing, the collection showcases Jennifer’s signature mix of artisan sensibility and keen appreciation of modern technology.
