Knope: Bringing fun to the streetwear industry Avery ParkerDecember 20, 201413 viewsFashionstreetwear0 Comments13 views Streetwear can be very monochrome. Knope (pronounced “nope”) is here to add warmth, colour and optimism, especially at this icy time of year. All the designs from this British fashion label are original and express their playful and cheery nature. Knope will never release anything without knowing it makes people smile, and we’ve chosen our top picks that have just landed. Everything is made by their hands, anything they can’t do themselves, they find hands that can. The brand only work with other small British businesses, doing their bit to get the economy back on its feet. Knope waste nothing, instead they find new ways to use what others might throw away, like hand sewing hidden pockets made from leftover fabric from their 2015 line. Knope’s zero-waste approach ensures each garment is special and unique. Knope was created in 2014 with the aim of bringing new designs, colour and a sense of fun to the streetwear industry. The label is run by Joel De Mowbray, Jess Peters and Rosie Nicholas in South East London. Joel and Jess are cousins from a large, creative and totally crazy family. Rosie and Joel met in 2013, she is the saner glue that sticks the group all together. During the long days and nights of production you can often find three generations of the family round the table lending a hand. Avery Parker Click here to visit the website.
