Kye S/S’15: Kpop Scene Culture

Kathleen Kye, the Seoul-based Korean fashion and the creative director behind KYE, a brand that exudes everything that is contemporary and cool, recently released her men’s S/S’15 collection and it’s everything we imagined. The new designs pick up where she had left off with sporty items impeccably displaying her high level of craftsmanship and intelligent creativity, and this time she’s raised its sophistication – its boyish but mature. 

She continues to stray away from convention by her usage of eclectic textiles. We’re certainly in the high-end-meets-street-wear movement, and KYE is a leading pioneer. It’s a fun and exciting brand that is as enjoyable to wear as it is to visually appreciate. Kye is a graduate from Central Saint Martins with an MA, and in only a few collections she has already show at London Fashion Week, Seoul Fashion Week, and New York Fashion Week through Concept Korea. Her clothing has been worn by major KPOP icons such as 2NE1’s CL, G-Dragon, and 4 Minute – making her one of the it designers of the vibrantly colourful and imaginative Kpop scene.
