LC:M – Louis Leeman A/W’15: Enlisting and Resisting Avery ParkerJanuary 12, 20159 viewsAW15Fashionmenswear0 Comments9 views Creative Directors Louis Leeman and Erica Pelosini invited us to the unveiling of their fall/winter 2015/2016 men’s footwear collection that was recently held at the Cafe Royal Hotel, inside the The Pompadour Room. The A/W’15/16 collection is inspired by the Navy world. A world that has always been associated to the main traits of Manhood: bravery, strength, pride, discipline and elegance. Uniforms, battleships, medals and military ranks are all elements that influenced the collection. The colours of the collection recall the crisp navy blue and white uniforms, the classic mix of jungle greens to the khaki service colours, a splash of plaid and a staple of the utilitarian vision of surplus, camouflage. The chevron design represents symbols of honour and rank. The metallic hardware recalls military decorations and fierce weaponry. The rope tassels recall the sailing knots and the epaulettes adorned on the shoulders of decorated officers. A pois is interpreted by the boats radar, essential for navigation and combat operation planning. The highest ideals of duty, loyalty, courage and commitment, this is the spirit of their A/W’15/16 collection. Avery Parker Click here to visit the website.
